Wine Education Series & Spanish Wine (education) Nights
Dogs Bar Winemaker Dinner Series
.
Following the success of our 2005 and 2006 wine appreciation courses,
Dog’s Bar is pleased to launch our 2007 wine education series, including
almost monthly Fundamentals of Wine Appreciation courses and three
Intermediate Wine Appreciation courses spread through the year,
tutored by wine industry expert and professional trainer, Phillip Meyer.
Sessions will be of two hours duration over a four-week period and will
include a minimum of 6 wines per night. The wines will directly reflect
the information that is under discussion.

Winemaker Dinner series 2007
We started our winemaker dinners in 2005 and
we have had great success with them since then.
They are a fun and enjoyable way to meet the winemakers,
enjoy great food matched carefully to fabulous wines, while
learning a little bit about the wines you're tasting and some
of the great "yarns" the winemakers never get to normally tell....
Normally 11/12 great wines (usually including something you
might not find at your bottle shop!!) intelligently matched to a
six-course menu specially put together by our head chef.
You don't have to drink all the wine we pour for you!!! But, if
you do, then you'll probably get through 1-1.5 bottles of wine.
Each course is an entree size portion (ish) so although as you
start your first course you may think there's not going to be a lot
of food, by the time you try to polish off your last course you'll be
wondering where you're going to put it!!
Our winemaker dinners are held in our private dining room,
where we sit no more than 25 guests around our solid jarrah
single dining table that snakes through the room, allowing just
about everybody to see everybody else!! A quite unique and
intimate environment. Take friends or make friends.
These are always fun, enjoyable and mildly educational nights
to try and remember
Normally $120 per person ($95 for registered Dogs Bar members)
We normally try to put together a mixed case deal consisting of
many of the wines you will have smapled on the night. Guests
ordering this mixed case on the night will receive a significant
discount on normal pricing and can obtain delivery one week later.

A guest speaker will be invited along to each lunch and no doubt there will be much to talk about over a 3 course lunch and 1/2 a bottle of wine per head for about $25 per head.
Lunches will be by invitation only. If you're interested in attending a lunch then please contact me on dc@dogsbar.com.au
