July 2009 - Susi Tuesdays starts early July - Tuesday nights in Dogs Bar will never be the same. 10pm onwards!

July 2009 - St Kilda Shorts (est 2004) starts again with weekly film screenings in the Dogs Bar screening room. Monday 6th July through to the end of October, then hopefully we'll be starting screening feature films on the roof in Spring!!

July 2009 - Story-telling by the fire starts at 10pm in Dogs Bar on Wednesday 1st July with short stories, scenes from scripts & poetry on the cards for everybody's entertainment - if you're feeling too shy to read your own story we'll have a professional reader on hand

June 2009 - On Thursday 25th June Dog's Bar launches "open-mike" comedy nights in Dog's Bar main bar, following the Comedy Shows taking place in the "private room". Open-mike will be a great opportunity for up-and-coming talent to develop their skills as well as well known names to try out new material.

June 2009 - On Wednesday 24th June Dog's Bar launches it's new season of Cabaret nights every Wednesday from 7:30pm. Mick Moriarty & guests will head up the first few weeks of our new Cabaret nights

May 2009 - Funkalicious - DJ driven "records" starts Friday 29th May, 9pm til 1am. 2 DJs, lots of great music to listen to. No "duff duff", just soul-ful tracks to make you feel guuuud!

May 2009 - Comedy Night launches at Dogs Bar on Thursday 29th May to a full venue with "Too Tall, Too Short, Too Hours"

May 2009 - Dogs Bar sponsors St Kilda Film Festival (since 2002) also hosting the VIP launch, an Adam Elliott Retrospective screening with Adam attendng as suprise guest of honour! Later that evening Adam, on behalf of Dog's Bar presented the Best Director Award to Stephen Kanaris for his film Boundless.

May 2009 - Chris Beaumont art opening Sunday 24th May 2pm

May 2009 - Bryan Dawe & Krista McLelland curate Art Project Australia art show that opens with 12 of 14 works selling on launch night.

April 2009 - Scott Collett, winemaker, Woodstock Winery, hosts winemaker tasting - 12 wines and 12 matching canapes - 24 guests wobbled home after a great night's entertainment. Weekly wine events planned to run throughout winter

February 2008 - Dogs Bar Oscars Night celebration runs again - next year we'll run throughout the afternnon and have a much bigger party DC says, maybe on the roof!

February 2009 - St Kilda Festival - Dogs BAr & Spuntino close off the street and only let familiar faces and locals in. Spanish music, huge paella bbq, great weather and fun all day for regulasr & locals.

February 2009 - Dogs Bar sponsors Linden Gallery Postcard Show (since 2002) and presents the Dogs bar Award (2nd Prize)

January 2009 - Dogs Breakfast & Dialogue (philosophy discussion group) starts at Dog's Bar Saturday mornings 11:15am

December 2008 - David Carruthers runs the seventh Regulars Christmas drinks event and has huge party!!
